Generous persons will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

Volunteers at Machu Pichu, Peru

The Cartlands Foundation’s International Projects are volunteer led initiatives to further understanding of world cultures and the positives that can be achieved by working alongside peoples of different backgrounds to foster cultural understanding.

This side of our mission brings people closer to valuing and understanding cultures other than their own, increasing awareness of global issues and seeing the impact that can be achieved through positive change, one step at a time.

Our International Projects take the form of sustainable community initiatives, with particular focus on education, as well as health and community development. Volunteers work with local communities to make a real hands on impact – helping bring inspiration from the outside – to help foster international relations through cultural exchange in areas of the world where they are most needed.

We have long-standing relationships with organisations at ground level who communicate to us  real-time needs and goals so that our volunteers can work alongside local people and make a real difference – both to the lives of people in need of assistance – as well as enriching the lives of our volunteers . As a volunteer you can rest assured that we’ll provide you with a full experience—a safe, immersive and impactful adventure of a lifetime.

With all our International Projects, our values are:

Respect
We accept, understand and respect that people know and understand what is appropriate for their own communities.

Integrity
We commit to ensure the safety, flexibility, professionalism, transparency and excellence of all our international programs.
